“That woman is a saint.” Those words described my Aunt Maggie. Since being a saint means one’s place in Heaven is assured, now those words are truer than ever. The Lord called her home last night.
She was a member of the greatest generation. She was a classic. A hard-working American of Italian heritage, married to a tough, hard-working American of Italian descent who worked in the steel mills. They raised a family of four, successful children who will miss her terribly, as will her extended family.
There are some people you can count on to treat you with genuine love and honesty. They make you feel special even if you don’t always share that belief in yourself. They welcome you in at any time, replenish your heart and soul with great food, words of wisdom and love, capped by a hearty laugh and hug. That was Aunt Maggie.
Heaven is perfect. Still, it became a bit more perfect last night.

MM, Thanks for the very nice words about my mother. She really was a kind, loving, Catholic mother. I did enjoy the article on Reagan vs Obama first 100 days. Now I hear the govt. is possibly taking control of the sale of tobacco. This slow side into socialism is hard to take. Will this contol mean higher taxes, yes; but will it also mean another pivate business will be run as inefficiently as all other govt. programs? It boggles the mind! Dan Rozzo
